Signing in
By the end of this page you will be signed in and looking at your own dashboard.
What you need
Your Microsoft work account — the same one you use for your work email.
There is no separate Manaaki Central password. You do not need to create an account, and there is nothing extra to remember.
Doing it
- Open your browser and go to your organisation's Manaaki Central address.
- Click Sign In with Microsoft.
- Enter your work email and password on the Microsoft page that appears.
- If your phone asks you to approve the sign-in, approve it.
You land on your dashboard. That is your starting point every day.
Microsoft will ask you to confirm it is really you, using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. It asks when you:
- sign in on a new device or browser for the first time
- come back after a long time away
- sign in from an unfamiliar place, depending on your organisation's rules
Sort that out with your administrator before your first day using the system — not while you have someone waiting in front of you.
If you forget your password
There is no Manaaki Central password to reset. Your password belongs to your Microsoft work account — the same one as your email — so change it the way your organisation normally does. Manaaki Central never sees it, and your administrator can help if you are stuck.
When you finish for the day
Click Sign out at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
On a shared computer, sign out and then close the browser. Just closing the window is not enough — the next person may still be in your session.
If you are away from your desk long enough, the system signs you out by itself. You will land back on the sign-in page, and once you sign in again it returns you to the page you were on, so you do not lose your place.
If it will not let you in
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The button says Initializing... and nothing happens | Wait a few seconds. If it stays like that, refresh the page. |
| Microsoft accepts you, then Manaaki Central turns you away | Your account has not been linked yet. Ask your administrator. |
| You cannot get to your Authenticator app | Your administrator has to reset it. There is no way to do it yourself. |
| It says your account is locked | Ask your administrator. |
