Common terms and definitions used in Manaaki Central.

A

Activities : A record of work performed or interaction with a client during a service episode.

Assessment : A formal evaluation of client needs, strengths, and service requirements.

Case Worker : Front-line staff member who manages direct client relationships and service delivery.

Client : An individual receiving services through Manaaki Central (also called a family member or service user).

Episode : See Service Episode.

F

Family : A group of related individuals tracked together in the system.

Family Member : An individual within a family unit (may or may not be receiving services).

Referrals : The formal intake process for bringing a client into service, documenting needs and initiating service delivery.

Referral Source : The organisation or individual who referred the client for services.

S

Service Episode : A time-bound period during which services are actively delivered to a client.

Service Users : Another term for a client - an individual receiving services.

Supervisor : A team lead who oversees Case Workers, reviews work, and approves Referrals.
